SAYAH

SAYAH is a singer-songwriter from Sydney with electro-soul flavours. Her dark, lush vocals draw comparisons to the soul and stylings of Erykah Badu and Amy Winehouse.

SAYAH has played to a growing audience of converts around Sydney, including opening for Woodes and triple j’s darling Ruel. Her appearance on Balcony TV won International viewers’ choice on their “Show of the Week”. SAYAH’s unique vocal stylings have been praised by the likes of Dave Ruby Howe (triple j) – “I reckon people would pull their cars over to hear that voice in full flight.”

SAYAH tours with Australia’s most renowned electronic and alternative pop artists including Cosmo’s Midnight, Peking Duk, and Set Mo. Performing as their lead vocalists at Australia’s best festivals: Splendour In The Grass, Listen Out, For The Love, and Yours and Owls. She’s also responded to the call to sing back-up on triple j’s Like A Version for the likes of Safia, Thandi Phoenix, KLP, and Cosmo’s Midnight. If that wasn’t enough, SAYAH was also invited to sing BVs for Rita Ora when she featured on the ELLEN show ealier this year.

SAYAH recently teamed up with UK’s drum and bass producer Fred V for the release of ‘Trust Me’. SAYAH gained international attention and comfortably secured international playlisting spots. Shortly after, producer and artist, Just A Gent asked SAYAH to jump on his electronic track ‘No Time Left’. SAYAH added to the track, layering her incredible vocals and writing the top line reflecting the early stages of a relationship. “The song reflects those early teething stages of a relationship. It’s exciting, it’s flirty, it’s all of the good things. You finally find the courage to admit your feelings but the window to act on it is about to close.”
